Diploma thesis on “Activity based density of arthropods in experimentally designed agroforestry systems in central Amazonia” within the German/Brazilian cooperation project SHIFT in Manaus, Brazil

February 2005 – September 2006: scientific trainee at SMNK working on an exhibition on climate and ecosystems

October 2006 – 2009: Ph.D. junior scientist in the SOLOBIOMA project in the Atlantic forest in south Brazil, working with the diversity and ecology of spiders in tropical (secondary) forests and tropical ecology

Since 2010 design, programming and maintenance of the internet presence of InBioVeritas and Alter Flugplatz Karlsruhe.

Between 2013 and 2017 data manager in the Edaphobase project.

Since 2017 working in the ARAMOB-Project (Semantic enrichment and mobilization of data in distributed repositories for taxonomy and ecology).   

Since 2020 data scientist, managing the scientific collection databases incl. data processing and data publication (e.g. GBIF, ARAMOB).

  • Design and development of a database concept for scientific collections at the SMNK and coordination of internal data communication pathways
  • Data processing of scientific collection data and data publication
  • Managing the scientific collections (e.g. spiders)
  • Conceptional development of data structures and data flow at SMNK, advising and supporting the scientist in digital managment of biological and geological data
  • Participating in the definition of technical aspects and realization of modern digital formats
  • Part of the IT-security team
