Buchprojekt - Ethnobotany of Mountain Regions

Die Buchreihe „Ethnobotany of Mountain Regions“ (Online und Print) wird in Bänden geordnet und umfasst jeweils eine große Bergregion, darunter die nördlichen Anden (Kolumbien, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivien), die südlichen Anden (Patagonien), Mittelamerika Nordamerika (Mexiko), Nordamerika (Rocky Mountains), Fern-osteuropa (Nordkaukasus, Ural, Türkei), Zentralasien (Tien Shan, Altai), Himalaya, Afrika, Südostasien, Bergregionen Brasiliens, Osteuropa (Karpaten), Nordafrika und Levante. Der inhaltliche Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Nutzung menschlicher Pflanzen in den verschiedenen Gebirgssystemen.

 

Die Inhalte werden nach Global Mountain Makroregionen organisiert. Jede Bergregion wird in Abschnitte unterteilt, die Länder (oder Ländergruppen) abdecken, basierend auf der Pflanzenvielfalt und nicht unbedingt auf politischen oder nationalen Grenzen. Jeder Band, der eine Berg-Makroregion abdeckt, umfasst zwischen 750 und 2000 Seiten.

 

Jede Bergregion wird in Abschnitte unterteilt, die Länder oder Ländergruppen abdecken. Daher würde der Abschnitt Bergregion Folgendes enthalten: Eine Einführung in die Region, Einführungen in größere Einheiten der Region und 200-500 Pflanzenmonographien.
